A 7-day course of enquiry into our potential as human beings, and an exploration of our relationship to nature, to other people, and to reality as a whole.

By studying together we will learn what some of the world's greatest masters of wisdom can tell us about our human condition, about our spiritual purpose, and how to realise our potential and set free the intelligence that is innate in every human being.

Through meditation we will begin to contact the core of our being.

In work we will learn new skills, and how to work together in service, without conflict, to produce something that is much more than the sum of everyone's ability and individual effort.

We will live close to nature, in purpose-built yurts. We will cook our own food, bake our bread, and tend our fires. We will sit together in conversation under the night sky.

The ground of all our study, work and living together is the moment-by-moment awareness of the unity of all existence.

On this course we will not be going back to nature. Through living close to nature we will be appreciating how much we depend on it, and that we are part of nature, and responsible for it... just as we depend on others, are one with one another and, at the same time, are responsible for each other.

For the duration of the course we will be without internet, mobile phones, television or electricity. The course will take place wholly within the Chisholme Estate, with the possible exception of guided walks, and will be supported throughout by its permanent staff. Course supervisors will live, work and study alongside course participants throughout the 7 days.

The Beshara School at the Chisholme Institute has been running courses in esoteric education for 35 years. This 7-day course is a new development, providing different conditions for an education that awakens us to the intelligence naturally inherent to our being.

Costs: £195 for under 26 years, otherwise £285 (including full board and accommodation in yurts). Bursaries may be available on application prior to the course.
