All who serve at Chisholme, from the Principal to the Kitchen Assistant, are considered to be students of the School, and are asked to participate fully in its education, whether or not they are taking part in a course.

The majority of the staff are unpaid volunteers. Some make a financial contribution to their stay. There are however certain key jobs which are longer term, and come with a small salary.

Jethro Flowers is currently responsible for maintenance at Chisholme and is looking for an assistant. He writes:

"I am looking for someone who is reasonably fit and healthy, but most important must be caring, enthusiastic and willing to learn about the maintenance of the school."
