Announcement from The Beshara Trust
The Beshara Trust is now at the beginning of a new phase of its existence, and is expanding to meet requirements in those areas extending beyond the Beshara School. A renewed urgency has highlighted a number of needs, including the need for new forms of publicity and for a common reference point for those needs to be met.
So what exactly is the role for the Trust in this new situation? It is clearly not to be an executive, management or authoritarian body. Its role is emerging still, but some things are already clear. The Trust is the responsible body for global events and developments in the name of and arising from Beshara and the Beshara School. The Beshara formations around the world are not the ‘same’ as the Trust, nor subject to it, but are themselves fully manifestations of the reality of the Trust, wherever they are. The Trust licenses the Chisholme Institute and other bodies running courses around the world.
There has been a great deal of work undertaken on the new website; the exhibition is under development to be presented in a renewed form to a much wider audience. There are new locations for the Beshara School and a new brochure to be produced. The Trust has an explicit remit and a direct responsibility to care for and facilitate these movements, not least as a focus for fundraising activities using its charitable status.
It is clear that new developments demand greater engagement from the Trust. There are three new trustees, and there will be more changes quite soon. The Trust cannot exist without the support of those who love Beshara, and the trustees are in need of their advice and consultation.
